Welcome to my second monthly round up of my top 5 Instagram pictures. If you missed the first month you can see it here.
My love for Instagram has continued to grow throughout October. Especially as I have seen all the beautiful yellow, orange, brown and red colours of October jumping out of my feed.
So, into this months top 5.
There is a tie for this months fifth place. First up we have this fab picture of Slapton Sands, which is in South Devon. I took this picture out of the window of the van as we snaked along the coast road. It was a beautiful sunny autumn day and this view just made me go ‘wow’. Even though I see this on a regular basis it still stops me in my tracks:
The other joint fifth picture is this one that I took when we were at Apple Day at Cockington Country Park. I think this was the first time my girls have seen an old fashioned Punch & Judy show and they certainly threw themselves into taking part:
We also have a tie for fourth place! The first is a picture of a gorgeous vintage caravan that was also at the Apple Day. The caravan is lovely on its own but put it next to the autumnal trees, it looks perfect:
The other fourth place pic is this one. A couple of weeks ago we had a really windy day and we went for a walk along the coast path. We decided to stop and shelter from the relentless wind and tuck into the muffins that were freshly baked by my husband that morning, while watching a wild sea:
"Rough seas make stronger sailors. Tough times build greater people." Robin Sharma" * * I read a post by @islandliving365 last night & it reminded me that everyone has their own little battles going on & with social media we don't always show it. So today I'm going to spread some little kindness & give as many positive comments as I can, hopefully to help bring a little smile to anyone who is not feeling the love today. 💜 Anyone joining me?
As I mentioned earlier I love the colours Autumn brings and the picture in third place ticks all of these boxes. This tree is in the Dartington Hall Estate which we visited during half term to take part in their Unicorn trail. This picture really doesn’t do it justice, it was stunning:
The picture in second place was taken towards the beginning of October. We have been encouraging our youngest to ride her bike more so we went on a lovely walk from Totnes to Dartington. This track is part of the national cycle trail and was perfect for her to have a practice. I also love the quote I found to go with the picture:
'Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving'. Quote by Albert Einstein. * * * Hope you had a great weekend and you are ready to start the week. This was our motto to little one yesterday while encouraging her on her bike & I feel it is very apt for the start of the week too. Happy Monday everyone.
We now make it to the most hearted picture on my Instagram account for October. It’s the one of my oldest taking part in the Unicorn Trail at the Dartington Hall Estate. I took it as she was walking towards a fab little building called the Playhouse. It was idyllic, nestled into the autumnal trees and bushes surrounding it. It was a very peaceful place:
