Today is the last day my girls are at school before they breaknup for the summer holidays. What a year it has been!
The eldest has just finished Year 3 and has flourished yet again with another great teacher. The youngest has just completed her first year at school.
Every year we like to give a little something to the girls teachers, at school and nursery, to show our appreciatition. This year we noticed a common theme in their school reports and parents evening, basically it was how much they had grown. This was in everything, from their learning and especially for my youngest, her confidence. Hearing and reading these words gave me a fab idea for the type of presents we would give to the girls teachers.
Present Idea No. 1
I put together a little video to show you what we put together for my youngest teachers. It is so simple, but it really followed the grow theme. Take a look here:
As you can see, everything you need for this can be found at Wilkinsons. My youngest presented them to her teachers earlier this week and they all loved them. I think they appreciated the sentiment.
Present Idea No. 2
For our eldest we did a joint class present from all the children. A lovely lady called Beth, who I work with, creates these amazing illustrations so we asked her to put together something from all the class. We got all the kids to write down one word that represented their teacher and Beth created one of her fab Hillfolk creations:
We are all so happy with how it came out. Beth also did for us a fab family portrait last year that you can see on my about page. If you want to see more of Beth’s fab illustrations check out her Etsy shop here.
It was such fun putting these presents together this year, hope the teachers enjoy them too.
Have a fab school hols everyone!
