Don’t you just hate it when you open kitchen drawers to get something you need but you can’t put your hand on it straight away.
Well, we had ‘that’ drawer in our kitchen. It has all the things you need to cover your leftovers with or the wrap for the kids packed lunch. It also has all those kitchen odds and sods that you don’t have any other place for.

It wasn’t a full, messy or cluttered drawer, in fact as you can see it was quite empty. But it started to annoy me when I had to rummage around to find things. All I wanted to do was to open the drawer, pick up what I wanted straight away and then put it back in a place so I could find it again later. I don’t ask for much, honest! Simple things like finding stuff quickly makes me happy.
After some Amazon researching I found this simple wooden extendable cutlery tray. It was not expensive and you can find a similar one here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006ES13N0

Bingo! It had a place for everything, and because the sections sre adjustable I can fit and place things perfectly, as you can see in the picture below:

This was such a quick and easy project. Since the day I put the divider in place it has been so useful. I initially sorted this drawer out about two years ago and still today everything is in its place. That’s how you know it was the right thing for that problem.
Hope you found this post helpful, and maybe motivated you to do your own drawer organising this weekend.
Lets get organised!
