I think it is time for me to introduce to you our Big Red Fun Bus. Our bright red VW T5 van came into our lives just over a year ago and since then we have had many an adventure in it, including all our Devon Days Out. It also got us and all the camping gear to France this year!
Last weekend the fun bus took us to Cornwall so we could spend time with my hubby’s sister on her birthday and the girls got to spend time with their cousins. While there we had a wander around Kennall Vale, which is in a little village called Ponsnooth. It was a lovely autumnal day walk and the kids had a great time exploring the woods and seeing the old ruins of the water mills and other buildings.
We also popped into Truro for a birthday tea at Pizza Express, and this is where we also came across our namesake building. The girls loved it that there was a building with their surname on it! Spot the cheeky Pizza Expreess doggy bag.
We travelled back to Devon that night all ready for our second road trip of the weekend.
This time it was a cruise along the South Devon coast from Torbay, across the ferry to Dartmouth and then off along the coast road to Slapton Sands. We met up with friends, had a picnic, played on the beach and finished off with an ice cream. The sun was out, even if it was a bit chilly by the sea, but it was a glorious way to spend a Sunday.
I am sure I will be showing you more of our adventures in our Big Red Fun Bus and I’ll try and get pictures of it on our travels too.
