10 Christmas Gift Ideas for Working Mum’s

18th November 2016 by Organisedjo 51 Comments

Christmas is coming, have you written your present list yet? If not I thought I would share some ideas with you that as a working mum I would love. I also asked some of my fellow Devon blogger friends what gifts they would like to, they gave me some great ideas to share.

Do you have a working mum that you need to buy a Christmas present for? If so then check out this post for recommendations from other working mum's

If you fancy any of these ideas then don’t forget to strategically leave this post open for the hubbty/partner/kids to find! I know I certainly will be.

Taking time out from it all
Spa day – Now wouldn’t this be amazing for a whole day. It could be just you (and a friend maybe), a lounger, a swimming pool and a few relaxing treatments. Nothing else to do but chill, eat and drink. I am sure there are some great retreats near you, but if you live in Devon, or are visiting, I can highly recommend the Salcombe Harbour Hotel.

The gorgeous spa at the Salcombe Harbour Hotel, Devon. Perfect place for a spa day away from everything.

Afternoon Tea somewhere posh – Again this is something to just get away from it all. Again taking a friend or the other half to spend some quality time with would be perfect. An afternoon of eating the best high tea, with maybe a cheeky glass of something bubbly is great for chilling out. Again if you are in Devon or visiting I highly recommend Bovey Castle on Dartmoor. A gorgeous setting with some Manor House country style. Oh and the spa is good too.

Afternoon tea on the balcony at Bovey Castle, Dartmoor. A lovely gift for a hard working mum

Voucher to get your hair done – I don’t know about you but I take the girls to the hair dressers more than I take myself. So a voucher to spend some time having my hair pampered and some short but well needed me time, would be great.

Restaurant Vouchers/Nice food hamper/Meals delivered – I’ve got to say thanks to Summer who blogs at Betty Bradshaw for this one. Summer says “I am always a fan of nice food/hamper type items too, anything to help my brain as to what to feed the family” So true, and if you get restaurant vouchers it means someone also does all the clearing up too!

And Clio from Diary of a Devon Mum I think has found one of the best home delivery services – Deliveroo. They have started doing a breakfast in bed delivery service, now if they do Vouchers that would be amazing! *off to stalk their website.

Something to help organise my life
Diary
Even with all this technology at my fingertips I still like to write things down. It seems to help me remember things better. So a lovely new diary, with somewhere to write a tonne of lists would be a perfect gift for any busy mum. Natalie from The Rebel Pebble said “I love Kate Spade diaries and notebooks.”

Any working mum would love to receive this gorgeous Kate Spade diary for christmas

A Bag for everything
With our many roles as a working mum we need a bag that can meet our many needs, and it has to be stylish too. It has to be big enough to hold our work stuff along with our lovely new diary. It also needs to mimic Mary Poppins and have space to hold the drink bottles, the endless snacks for the kids and that packet of wipes that you never knew would be so useful until you had a baby.

A Pretty Purse

If you are like me this would have to be a rather large one, we need somewhere to hold all those reward cards that’s we are so good at collecting. I was very lucky and last year got treated to a lovely Ted Baker one, it ticked all the boxes.

Every mum would be overjoyed to receive this gorgeous Ted Baker purse. Perfect accessory to help any busy mum stay organised

Stocking present ideas

Wine and chocolate – Don’t really need to say anything here, pretty standard I think!

Babysitting Vouchers – This lovely idea came from Stephanie who blogs over at Exploring Exeter. “It’s a good cheap homemade present and could be of any number.” These would go so well with the spa day, restaurant Vouchers or your trip to the hairdresser.

Insulated mug for the morning commute – Hannie from Devon Daze Blog suggested this one, and it’s a fab idea. There are some great ones out there at the moment, I’m especially loving the ones with unicorns and lots fun glitter on (me, grow up, never!).

This mug would brighten up any working mums busy day

Did you find anything you like the sound off? Do you have any other ideas of what would be a great present for a working mum? Leave me a comment, I would love to know.

This post is my second one about Christmas. If you missed the first one, which is all about preparing for christmas using lists, you can read it here.

Lets get organised & look stylish while we are doing it.

Jo

Some great ideas here! I always forget to think about what I would like for Christmas but I know a diary/planner would be high up on that list! It would definitely help organise my somewhat-chaotic life at the moment! 🙂

Thanks for popping by Becca. I have always loved new stationery and a new diary is just like a new school book, it takes me right back to writing neatly on that first page. X

These are such great ideas for mom gifts! I almost always get a trip to the hair salon for my birthday (Dec. 15th) or for Christmas. I truly feel bad for my family. Within 15 days there is my birthday, Christmas and our anniversary! What pressure! Truly this year I don’t know what I want for my birthday. I can’t think of anything that I don’t already have! I guess I should feel blessed about this since I “want for nothing”, but it does give my hubby nightmares since when he asks what I want I keep saying I don’t know!

PS – I popped over from Marvellous Mondays!

A diary and a bag and I’m won over!! I know what you mean about the bag needing to be big enough for everyone. The amount of times I turn up to work with my sons car collection and weekend snack remnants is ridiculous.
I love the Cath Kidston diaries – they have fab monthly planners and a whole page of notes per week. Perfect for work, blog, me and little legs!
    Great ideas. #marvmondays
